By using foobos.net or the foobos mobile app (“the Service”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
foobos is a free guide to live music and comedy across venues in the Boston area. Concert listings are gathered from hundreds of venues and updated daily.
Listings may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Event details (dates, times, prices, lineups) can change without notice. Always verify details with the venue or ticket provider before making plans. foobos is not responsible for errors in listings.
You may create a free account to save shows, get recommendations, connect with friends, and access other features. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must provide a valid email address and choose a username. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Your username is visible to other users and is searchable within the Service. You may change your username at any time; the first change is free and subsequent changes cost foopoints. Usernames must be 2–30 characters and may contain letters, numbers, spaces, hyphens, and underscores. We reserve the right to remove or reassign usernames that are offensive, misleading, or impersonate others.
You can send and receive friend requests. Accepting a friend request allows that user to see your music taste profile (genre breakdown), total show count, and the number of shows you have in common. You can remove a friend at any time, which immediately revokes their access to your profile information. If two users send each other friend requests simultaneously, the friendship is accepted automatically.
Concert chat rooms let users discuss upcoming shows. Messages are visible to all users and are retained for a limited time after the event. You may post anonymously with a self-chosen display name. You agree not to:
We may remove messages and restrict chat access at our discretion. Users can report messages for review.
Foopoints are a virtual currency earned through actions like referring friends, attending show milestones, and other activities. Foopoints can be redeemed for cosmetic rewards and features within the Service. Foopoints have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and are non-transferable. We may adjust foopoint balances or reward availability at any time.
You may upload a profile photo. Photos are analyzed on your device for sensitive content before uploading; photos flagged as sensitive are rejected. By uploading a profile photo, you grant foobos the right to store, display, and serve that photo to other users. You represent that you have the right to use the photo and that it does not depict illegal content. We may remove profile photos at our discretion.
You may submit events, chat messages, or other content to foobos. By submitting content, you grant foobos a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and modify that content in connection with the Service. You represent that you have the right to submit the content and that it does not violate any law or third-party rights. We may remove submissions at our discretion.
You may import concert history from third-party services (such as SetlistFM) or upload files (CSV, spreadsheet). You are responsible for the accuracy of imported data. We store imported show data in your account and you may delete it at any time.
Calendar sync provides a private URL for an iCalendar feed of your saved shows. You are responsible for keeping this URL private. Anyone with the URL can view the events in your feed. You can regenerate the URL at any time to revoke previous access.
The foobos iOS app uses Apple’s on-device machine learning to power certain features, including Fooboss recommendations, intelligent search suggestions, chat moderation, and stats insights. All AI processing happens entirely on your device — no data is sent to any external server for AI processing. AI-generated suggestions (such as recommendations or search results) may be inaccurate or incomplete and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for decisions. foobos does not use third-party AI services or send your data to external AI providers.

The foobos name, logo, and original content are the property of foobos. Concert listings include information from public sources. Nothing in these terms grants you rights to use the foobos brand or trademarks.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, foobos shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless foobos from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these terms.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will note the new effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States.
