foobos lists live music and comedy across greater Boston. This page explains where the listings come from, how they stay accurate, and what to do when one is wrong.
Listings come from the venues themselves: venue calendars, box offices, and official ticketing partners across 600+ Boston-area venues. The data refreshes every day. New shows usually appear within a day of going on sale.
Every refresh runs the same checks. Shows listed by more than one source are merged into one listing. A show that disappears from its source is kept for a short grace period, then removed. Canceled shows drop out when the venue pulls them. Hard cases go to a person, not a filter.
Prices, showtimes, and age rules appear exactly as the venue lists them. Free shows are marked free. Venues sometimes change times after announcement, so check the venue page before a long trip.
Every ticket link goes to the venue or its official seller. foobos never links resale markets, never sells tickets, and never marks up a price. A weekly check finds dead ticket links and repairs them.
Staff picks and the curated filters (like Under the Radar and Date Night) are chosen by people who go to shows, not by an algorithm. Picks refresh through the week.
Email [email protected] with the show name and what is wrong. Corrections usually land within a day. Missing show? Send that too.
