Yacouba Sissoko

Yacouba Sissoko is a master of the kora, the 21-string West African harp, and comes from a Malian djeli family of hereditary musicians and storytellers. His playing is fast and rippling, rooted in traditional Mande repertoire and pushed outward into jazz and cross-cultural collaboration. Live, the kora carries the melody and the groove at once.
