Voluntary Hazing is a 12-piece ska and pop-punk band from San José, California, whose members met in the San José State University marching band and originally called themselves the SJSU Ska Ensemble. Their classical training gives the group's brass section an unusually tight foundation, and their self-described "7th-wave" ska stretches to accommodate pop, punk, and rock textures; their debut LP Addictive Little Sounds arrived in 2024.
