Milwaukee folk-punk legends whose 1983 self-titled debut remains one of the best-selling indie albums of all time. Gordon Gano's nasal, confessional vocals over acoustic guitar and the Femmes' deceptively simple arrangements produced timeless tracks like "Blister in the Sun," "Add It Up," and "Gone Daddy Gone." A singular band that bridged punk energy with folk tradition.
