Valerie Thompson Duo

Valerie Thompson is a Boston cellist, composer and improviser who moves between classical, folk and rock, and has toured with Mary Chapin Carpenter and Laura Cortese. In a duo setting she plays her own writing alongside arrangements, drawing on a contemporary improvisation background. She teaches at Brookline Music School and in New England Conservatory's prep department.
