Trace Mountains is the solo project of Dave Benton, formerly of lo-fi indie band LVL UP. Benton's introspective songwriting weaves folk intimacy with jangly indie rock, drawing comparisons to Phil Elverum, Dinosaur Jr., and Sufjan Stevens. His albums include Lost in the Country (2020) and Into the Burning Blue (2024).
