The Smack Dabs are a Boston-based combo specializing in raucous 1930s Swing Blues, drawing on the songs of Tampa Red, Big Bill Broonzy, and the Harlem Hamfats. Rooted in the small Black swing combo tradition, they bring a mix of mournful blues and joyful celebrations with rich solo and group improvisation that delights both listeners and dancers.
