The Paper Kites

The Paper Kites are an indie folk band from Melbourne, Australia, whose hushed, candlelit sound — delicate fingerpicked guitars, close-harmony vocals, and unhurried tempos — made them early favorites of the lo-fi bedroom folk wave that emerged in the early 2010s. Songs like 'Bloom' became quiet streaming phenomena, capturing a specific mood of late-night intimacy that translated into a devoted global following. Over the years they've expanded their palette toward fuller arrangements without losing the essential vulnerability at the heart of their songwriting.
