The McGunks are a Boston-area Celtic punk band formed in 2003 from the remains of other notable local acts, with a self-described mission of writing songs for the modern drunkard. Blending 1950s pop-rock sensibility with punk energy and Celtic and country influences, they released their debut album Here Comes the Shame in 2005 and have shared the stage with Street Dogs and the Ducky Boys. The band performed on select dates of the 2005 Warped Tour and reached the finals of the 2006 WBRU Rock Hunt.
