The Hopeless Romantics are a Boston/Providence rock band who met as students at Providence College and have built their sound around the melodic overlap between '60s British pop and '90s alternative rock. Their songs lean toward jangly guitars and layered harmonies, drawing on the kind of tuneful, earnest songwriting that gets called "timeless" by people who mean it as a compliment.
