The Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra is Harvard's student symphony orchestra, led by music director Federico Cortese. It plays full-scale orchestral repertoire, from Beethoven arranged for strings to Mahler song cycles. Tracing its line back to the Pierian Sodality of 1808, it is among the oldest orchestras in the country.
