The Coalboilers are an acoustic Americana duo from Boston's North Shore, consisting of Gary Backstrom and Charley Carrozo, who have been playing together since their first show at The Attic in Newton in 1996. Known for near-telepathic musical chemistry, they move fluidly through improvisational guitar jams and vocal performances, often playing two-hour sets without stopping.
