The Breeders are an alternative rock band formed in 1989 by Kim Deal (Pixies) and Tanya Donelly (Throwing Muses), with their classic lineup based in Dayton, Ohio. Their 1993 album Last Splash — featuring the smash single 'Cannonball' — sold over a million copies and defined the 90s alt-rock moment. The classic lineup of Kim Deal, Kelley Deal, Josephine Wiggs, and Jim Macpherson reunited in 2017 for a celebrated run of shows and new music.
