Tagua Tagua is the project of Brazilian songwriter and producer Felipe Puperi, formed in Sao Paulo in 2017. He works in the new MPB lane, folding bossa and tropicalia harmony into hazy, synth-lit bedroom pop sung in Portuguese. NPR and KCRW picked up on the records early, one of his songs landed in FIFA 20, and he has opened shows for bands like The Growlers on trips north.
