Sudan Archives: Any Shape I Want’s next Boston-area show is November 8, 2026 at Institute of Contemporary Art.
Sudan Archives is the violinist, singer and producer Brittney Parks, called "an artist in a league of her own" by the New York Times and praised by Pitchfork for a thrillingly original fusion of sound and storytelling. Any Shape I Want, co-presented by the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the ICA/Boston as part of the BSO's Creation Festival, is an immersive solo performance built from six stations representing four-hour segments of a single day, cycling through a full 24 hours in real time. She reworks pieces from her catalogue with violin loops and vocals while projected video shifts to track the passing hours.
