Stay Inside is a Brooklyn-based post-hardcore band formed in 2016, rooted in the tradition of 1990s indie rock and emo acts like Sunny Day Real Estate and La Dispute. Originally featuring Bartees Strange (who later pursued a successful solo career), the band evolved through lineup changes to sharpen their jagged, emotionally intense sound. Their albums Viewing (2020) and Ferried Away showcase a band that channels personal dislocation into cathartic guitar-driven anthems.
