Seth Meicht is a Boston-based saxophonist, composer and educator who spent years in Philadelphia and New York working with his mentor Odean Pope, appearing as a member of Pope's Saxophone Choir on Locked and Loaded: Live at the Blue Note alongside James Carter, Joe Lovano and Michael Brecker. He leads the eight-piece Big Sound Ensemble in a rambunctious, old-school strain of avant-garde jazz, and has shared stages with Ravi Coltrane, Darius Jones, Steve Swell and Mike Pride.
