Sarah Levecque: Barside

Singer-songwriter Sarah Levecque and guitarist Peter Zarkadas lead a band that delivers a measured, smoky brand of roots-flavored blues and contemporary country. Grounded by Zarkadas’s soulful electric guitar work, the group builds a sturdy musical foundation for Levecque’s evocative vocals, which navigate themes of emotional excavation and hard-won resilience. Their sound ranges from grit-infused honky-tonk to spare, melancholy blues, often featuring a seasoned rhythm section that keeps the groove rolling "over the cracks." Whether they are shaking out the jams with a boogie-woogie swing or leaning into a reflective acoustic vibe, the band creates an immersive experience that feels both classic and urgently personal.
