Saints and Liars are a Vermont Americana quartet whose music blends bluegrass, folk, and stringband traditions with a heavy metal sensibility — described as "thrash folk." Drawing influences from The Band, Waylon Jennings, and Motörhead alike, their self-titled 2017 debut features frontman Jed Hughes delivering vocals reminiscent of James Hetfield at a campfire.
