Rush was a Canadian progressive rock trio — Geddy Lee (bass, vocals, keyboards), Alex Lifeson (guitar), and the late Neil Peart (drums, lyrics) — whose technically virtuosic and conceptually ambitious music influenced generations of musicians over a career spanning 1968 to 2015. From 'Tom Sawyer' to the epic '2112,' they combined hard rock power with prog complexity like no other band.
