Rich(ard) Dawson is a Newcastle, England-based singer-songwriter regarded as one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary British folk, known for his deconstruction of folk traditions in a style compared to what Captain Beefheart did for the blues. His eighth studio album End of the Middle was released in February 2025 and traces patterns of behavior across several generations of one family.
