Rebirth Brass Band - Free Concert

Rebirth Brass Band came out of New Orleans' Tremé in 1983, founded by brothers Philip and Keith Frazier with Kermit Ruffins, and they have been the loudest argument for the brass band as a living, funk-fed form ever since. Sousaphone bottom, two-drummer push, and a horn line that trades second-line tradition for hip-hop and R&B whenever it feels like it. They won a Grammy for Rebirth of New Orleans and still hold down a legendary weekly gig at the Maple Leaf Bar.
