Quicksand is a post-hardcore band from New York City that emerged from the late-1980s hardcore scene. They released two critically acclaimed albums — 'Slip' (1993) and 'Manic Compression' (1995) — on Island Records, influencing a generation of alternative metal and post-hardcore bands. After a long hiatus they reunited and released 'Interiors' (2017) and 'Distant Populations' (2021).
