Oscar Stagnaro & Peru Mestizo

Oscar Stagnaro is a six-time Grammy-winning bassist from Lima, Peru, best known as the bassist in Paquito D'Rivera's quintet for more than twenty years and as a Berklee professor since 1988, where he built much of the school's Latin bass curriculum. His Peru Mestizo project blends jazz with Peruvian and Afro-Peruvian forms - festejo, lando, marinera and huayno.
