Octave Museum is a Boston-area psychedelic pop rock project formed in 2005 by Stephen Brodsky — the guitarist and songwriter behind Cave In — during that band's hiatus. With drummer Kevin Shurtleff (Scissorfight) and bassist Johnny Northrup, the group channeled the lesser-known end of the British Invasion (The Kinks, The Pretty Things) into something shimmery and melodic, touring alongside Blue Cheer before quietly disbanding. In 2026 their self-titled album received a digital reissue with bonus demos and live recordings, accompanied by their first performance in nearly two decades.
