The Newtalians are a Boston-based ensemble led by bassist Diego Puppin that reimagines the Italian pop songbook through an irreverent blend of bossa nova, jazz, ska, and funk. By running classic Italian melodies through unexpected genre filters, the group creates something that feels genuinely original — nostalgic and danceable at the same time.
Newtalians has played Boston once on foobos since March 2026.
