NEC Composers' Series: Arthur Berger Memorial Concert

A New England Conservatory Composers' Series concert at Jordan Hall honoring Arthur Berger (1912-2003), the American composer and critic who was a central figure in Boston-area new music. A Stravinsky-influenced neoclassicist who later worked with twelve-tone technique, Berger co-founded the journal Perspectives of New Music, wrote criticism for the New York Herald Tribune and Boston Herald, and taught for decades at Brandeis University and then NEC.
