Ms. Ezra Furman Doing What She Wants

Ezra Furman's standing residency at the Rockwell in Somerville's Davis Square: half-casual, intimate nights where she does whatever she likes — usually music, sometimes storytelling — with a different set every time, drawn from roughly a hundred of her own songs plus a pile of covers. Furman is a singer, songwriter and author known for raw folk-punk and for writing about queer identity, anxiety and religion, and she scored Netflix's Sex Education.
