Melvins

Melvins are a legendary sludge metal and experimental rock band formed in Montesano, Washington in 1983 by vocalist/guitarist Buzz Osborne and drummer Dale Crover. Widely credited as godparents of grunge -- they directly influenced Nirvana, Soundgarden, and countless others -- the band has spent four decades pushing heavy music into weird, unpredictable territory across 30-plus studio albums. Their refusal to repeat themselves or compromise has made them one of underground rock's most enduring and respected acts.
