Meldrop is a jazzy indie rock band from Tacoma, Washington, formed in 2022 by childhood friends River Esqueda and Kirran Medchill after the two met as bussers at a seafood restaurant. The five-piece band — guitars, bass, drums, and keys — blends punchy guitar vamps, subdued lyrics, and jazz-tinged arrangements, releasing their self-titled debut in 2023 and the EP Melodaze in 2025.
