Max Ridley Duo

The Max Ridley Duo is a small-group setting for the Boston bassist Max Ridley. Ridley started in punk rock and studied jazz, and works as a sideman across styles on upright bass while also singing, composing and teaching. He came up at Wally's Jazz Cafe, where he became the house bass player, and holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Berklee, the latter from its Global Jazz Institute under Danilo Perez; he has shared stages with George Garzone, Terri Lyne Carrington and Ra-Kalam Bob Moses.
