Make Do and Mend is a post-hardcore band that formed in West Hartford, Connecticut in 2006 before relocating to Boston, blending gruff aggression with melodic hooks in a sound influenced by both straight-edge hardcore and emo. The band released three albums on Rise Records — End Measured Mile (2010), Everything You Ever Loved (2012), and Don't Be Long (2015) — before going on an extended hiatus. They returned with new material and announced their fourth album On Going, marking a long-awaited reunion for fans of the Boston-area underground hardcore scene.
