Los Texmaniacs are a Grammy-winning Tex-Mex conjunto band led by bajo sexto player Max Baca, who learned the tradition at the feet of Flaco Jimenez and then dragged it toward rock, blues, and country. Recording for Smithsonian Folkways, they are one of the most visible ambassadors of San Antonio's accordion-and-bajo sound.
