Los Lobos are a Mexican-American rock band from East Los Angeles who have spent five decades blending rock and roll, Tex-Mex, cumbia, blues, and traditional Spanish and Mexican music. Formed around the core of David Hidalgo and Louie Pérez — who met at Garfield High School — the band became internationally famous with their 1987 cover of 'La Bamba' and have since released acclaimed albums like Kiko and Colossal Head that transcend any single genre.
