Lockstep is a Nashville, Tennessee-based heavy shoegaze band making doomy, atmospheric music in the vein of Cloakroom and Jesu. Their debut EP Arrival blends post-rock, shoegaze, and black metal with spacey, near-ethereal textures. The bio preview referencing a hardcore/metal Oakland band appears to be for a different act — the current Spotify match (shoegaze/slowcore) aligns with the Nashville Lockstep.
