John Hovorka is a Boston guitarist and songwriter who has led bands since the late 1970s — The 2x4's, Noise Pencil, the Turbines, Hovorka, and John Hovorka and the Dawn of Mechanized Farming — alongside a run of solo albums. The John Hovorka Band is his current outfit, playing the rooms he has worked for decades, Jamaica Plain's Midway Cafe among them.
