Jazz Composition Festival: Ayn Inserto Jazz Orchestra at 25+1’s next Boston-area show is April 8, 2027 at David Friend Recital Hall.
The Ayn Inserto Jazz Orchestra is a Boston big band led by composer Ayn Inserto, assistant chair of harmony and jazz composition at Berklee, and staffed largely by Berklee faculty including Allan Chase, Randy Pingrey, Mark Zaleski and Dan Rosenthal. Jazz Times has called Inserto 'Maria Schneider on steroids'; her music has been performed at Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, the Montreux Jazz Festival and Stadtgarten Koln.
