Ian Coury & Friends is a Brazilian choro group led by mandolin virtuoso Ian Coury, who began performing on the ten-string mandolin as a child in Brasilia and has shared stages with genre legends including Hamilton de Holanda and Toninho Horta. The band plays fast, intricate acoustic choro built around interlocking mandolin, guitar and rhythm lines. Expect a warm, virtuosic set steeped in Brazilian tradition.
