Jason Oberstein is a Boston singer-songwriter and guitarist known for energetic, Garcia-inspired lead work in the local jam scene. Flying Turtle is his longest-running Boston project, and he has played and recorded with Jill McCracken and Spoondrift. His 2024 solo debut, Northern Rails, folds folk-rock and jam-psychedelia into lyric-driven acoustic songs, and he takes that material out with his band The 4th Story.
