Harvey Diamond Group

Harvey Diamond has been called one of the unsung heroes of the Boston jazz scene, playing there since the mid-1960s. One of Lennie Tristano's last students, he has accompanied Sheila Jordan and Art Farmer and worked the city's rooms from Ryles to the Regattabar to the Colonial Inn in Concord. He spent his career teaching rather than chasing records - two generations of Boston players came through him - and did not release a first album as leader until 2015.
