Goldberg Variations with Simone Dinnerstein

This concert pairs pianist Simone Dinnerstein, known for her acclaimed recording of Bach's Goldberg Variations, with Boston's self-conducted string orchestra A Far Cry for a reimagined version of the work for piano and strings. The arrangement, created by Criers Alex Fortes and Sarah Darling with Dinnerstein, recasts individual variations as a trio sonata, a jazz-inflected bass line, and other new settings while staying rooted in Bach's original.
