God Street Wine is a New York City jam band formed in 1988 by students at NYU and Manhattan School of Music. Active throughout the 1990s alongside Blues Traveler, the Spin Doctors, and Joan Osborne, the quintet built their sound on rock, jazz, bluegrass, funk, reggae, and psychedelia. After breaking up in 1999 they reunited in 2009 for periodic performances, including special collaborations with Phil Lesh and Bob Weir.
