GBM Nutron, born Jason Carter, is a Trinidadian-American soca singer, songwriter, and producer who got his start behind the boards, producing hits for Machel Montano, Destra, Kes, and Ravi B after his family relocated to New York. He stepped into the spotlight as a performing artist with 2017's Calypso: The Unsung Legacy, which cracked the US Billboard reggae albums chart, and has since become one of soca's most reliable hitmakers during Trinidad Carnival season.
