Gang of Four is an English post-punk band formed in Leeds in 1977. Alongside Wire and Joy Division, they helped define the sound of post-punk with their angular, funk-inflected guitar attack, politically charged lyrics, and uncompromising artistic vision. Their debut album "Entertainment!" is widely considered one of the greatest and most influential rock albums ever made, its DNA traceable in everything from Fugazi to Franz Ferdinand to LCD Soundsystem.
