Freak Slug is the project of Manchester-based musician Xenya Genovese, who crafts an addictive blend of alt-rock, new wave, trip-hop, and avant-pop. Her debut album I Blow Out Big Candles showcases whimsical lo-fi songwriting with double-tracked vocals that recall Elliott Smith filtered through a modern indie lens.
