Faculty Recital: Wenting Kang’s next Boston-area show is October 26, 2026 at Jordan Hall.
Wenting Kang is a violist on the New England Conservatory faculty, where she began teaching in 2024 and from which she holds an MM and Graduate Diploma. She studied at the Central Conservatory in Beijing and the Kronberg Academy with Nobuko Imai, Kim Kashkashian and Garth Knox, and was previously an assistant professor at the Escuela Superior de Musica Reina Sofia in Madrid. A former violist of the Israel Philharmonic, she is principal violist of the Orquesta Sinfonica de Madrid at Teatro Real and a founding member of the Madrid Soloists Chamber Orchestra; her debut recording Mosaic won a gold medal from Spain's Melomano magazine.
