Eric Salt & The Electric City is a Boston rock band that grew out of the Abbey Lounge scene in 2005, founded by Eric Salt with his brother Denis and joined by bassist Eric Anderson (The Needy Sons, Jenny Dee & the Deelinquents) and guitarist Mike Oram. The sound runs to Dylanesque lyrics over catchy rock guitar with hints of the Stones and the Replacements, and live shows lean on raw, Springsteen-scale energy. The band cut its debut LP The Hail Mary and its follow-up Please Say Yes with producer Ed Valauskas at Q Division Studios; Please Say Yes helped earn Salt a semi-finalist spot in the 2016 Boston Rock & Roll Rumble.
