Eddie Scheer's Thursday Night Special

Eddie Scheer is the founder and frontman of The Love Dogs, greater Boston's preeminent jump blues, jump swing and New Orleans R&B band. He was singing and playing drums professionally by 14 and became one of the city's busiest drummers in his twenties, freelancing with rock, funk and blues bands and backing R&B figures including Peter Wolf, John Mayall, Luther 'Guitar Jr.' Johnson and Johnny Adams. A repeat winner of Outstanding Male Vocalist and Most Charismatic Entertainer in the New England Blues Audience readers poll, he also holds the Boston Blues Society's Keeping The Blues Alive award and has run a long-standing weeknight all-stars residency since 2010.
