DED is an American nu metal band from Tempe, Arizona, formed by members of Greeley Estates and Man Made Machine. Led by vocalist Joe Cotela, the band emerged from the dissolution of The Cover Up and earlier project Man Made Machine, which had a contentious split from Epic Records. Drawing comparisons to Every Time I Die and other aggressive alt-metal acts, DED released their debut album Mis·an·thrope in 2017 and have built a following on the strength of their intense live shows.
